Your opinon on my situation...
Alright, this guy I know wants to trade his ls/vtec for my b17. My b17 has 153,XXX, His has 106,XXX bottom and 60,XXX top. the head's a b16. Tonight I'm going to go drive it, he has a da. I'm gonna go check it out and see how it is...
He also wants to buy my ys1 for 350. For 400 I can buy a b18 tranny from his friend. This has gotten me in a bind. I dont know what i want to do... i just know i wasnt too fond of having to use a hydro to cable conversion(i've already bought one) and if i follow through with this, i wont have too. Ls/vtec is badass, i love it. I guess it just has pros and cons. But your advice is appreciatted.
Also the trade includes, ecus, shift linkage, the short throw, everything needed for us to complete both swaps...

It depends on how good of a build that guy did on that lsvtec engine. I've seen horrible lsvtec engines to awesome and reliable torque monsters. IMO I'd wouldn't sell the B17 for a lsvtec. The rareness of the engine along outweighs the value of the lsvtec. Smog and the legality of the lsvtec is another thing I weigh into also. Last, I'd rebuild the B17 but that's me not you.
