Default yet another surging ldle thread :(

in all honesty, i'm rather lazy and don't feel like digging through 10000 threads that say the same thing.

new intake manifold gasket, new throttlebody gasket
new intake manifold rings for the injectors
clean iacv, and don't appear to have any vacuum leaks (haven't tried the carb cleaner trick)
putting my finger over the hole in the throttlebody does nothing

this is my second iacv that i've used and i still get the same thing. now, my wire harness is a cx harness and the cx has the iacv with the bolts further apart, the new d16y8 intake manifold has the shorter distance between the two bolts. again, this is my second iacv that i've tried.

the engine has a surging idle that jumps from 1500-2500. It is very loud and very annoying. I've tried everything. I even switched throttlebodies. and i still get the error. I thought it was the ecu at first, but i tried switching the ecu to another one (p05) and i still get the same error.

It would seem that if it were to be a vacuum leak, it would just idle high and not surge like this. This is why i'm so stumped

spray carb cleaner over all spots that could possibly leak, if the car stumbles or dies, there's your leak. Don't forget to check vacuum lines.

Unplug the IACV connection WHILE the car is running, does the surging idle stop? IF so, its your IACV or the wiring.

have you tried adjusting the plastic screw inside your FITV on the bottom of your throttle body?

check your FITV, there a thread on it how to turn the valve back in.

use a compressor and seal your system off and regulate 10-15 psi into your motor and listen for leaks. Use some water and soap and find your vac leaks.
