They can both go out. I have had to replace both at once. So try that and see what happens.

yea im gonna ask a few techs up at work.. i wish my car was up there... and i guess ill just buy both the sensors

main relay would mean no power at all... ignition switch maybe.. but why would i be throwing codes for my TPS and MAP...

not necessarily no power at all.


main relay would sound like your not getting gas the car would start and shut off.

pull your plugs and then stick them back on your plug wires and see if you are getting any spark.

not necassarily, the main relay does more than people think. its pretty hard to determine the problem w/ the little we know, but if it cranks and seems like its gonna run out of gas then stalls its the main relay or the ignition switch.

how bout check for fuel pump priming, if so, check for spark, etc, etc.... when a car is turned over for a period of time and doesnt crank they will throw codes that dont mean ****. check the things that you can check easily first.

my buddy just had this problem, i had an extra ecu, swaped em out and the problem was gone.

yea.. i just thought about that.. we tried hooking up a code reader to my car the other day and it wouldnt even work.. so i guess im gonna have to start with replacing ****.. i actually just replaced an ignition switch on a civic the other day at work so that wouldnt be bad if that was it.. and if its the main relay thats too easy..

yea the fuel pump still primes.. plugs still get spark... it just starts then dies

haha i found the problem... my kill switch was on... i feel dumb... i never use the thing anymore and i guess i turned it on and forgot about it... im such a newb
