Wow...dealerships are ripoffs!!!
Need a new distributor housing since my cyp sensor is bad. Call Acura and they want $360 for it!!!! http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/ sells it for $280. Hopefully this is not "OEM quality" but actually OEM.

Yeah usually OEM parts at the dealerships are insanely high in price. The only reason I used to go to the dealership for parts was because my friend used to work there and I could grab stuff at employee price

the reason dealerships are more expensive is that they cannot sell as many parts as these online places so when they can't buy parts in bulk their prices are higher and have to mark them up to customers. I work at a dealership and on some parts its even cheaper for me to buy online than it is to buy from our parts department with my discounts. Some parts though are nearly identical to what you'll find online. just depends on the part.

yeah employee price is awesome all the stuff me and a friend bought was 96 and we got everything for 60 something and i'm sure the dealership still made alot of profit from that 60 lol

speed shop service rates are usaully half what the dealership s are..if parts are ur deal..check out kragens or pepboys..they can usually get what u need to OEM specs.. 
why service so high at dealerships?..union mechanics..and u see all those tools and testing equipment?.. wont find all that in ur neighborhood speedy

I once got a cap from pep boys...didn't fit at all...so I'd rather not get a distributor housing through them

Yeah I got a cap and rotor from Kragen's once. It did NOT fit well at all. Ended up paying a little more for OEM at Honda.
