Which would you prefer usdm itr motor or build gsr
Im looking into a swap...wanted usdm itr, but just got informed that this built gsr can be done for the same price... wanted to see if you could give yall opinion on this setup.
GSR motor ...with a b16 head
2001 GSR block bore 20 over.
with Golden eagle rods..
CP piston...12:1..
brand new bearings....
port and polish head..
with ferea valve and valtrain..
crower stage 3 cams..
with a gsr tranny

sounds like a good setup, find out what kind of numbers it will put down.
i think after all that, you would just need an 98 spec ITR tranny. 4.785 FD, and LSD and that'll do you just fine

what would be different about the itr from the built gsr if all the internals were changed? cept the tranny difference of course. doesn't really sound like a gsr motor anymore. just get a skunk2 mani.

hey. im running that setup (basicly) and i love it. way faster than an itr.
i however have a y21 tranny...
itr will be much much more reliable though. i would want reliablility and power

How much faster is your motor compared to an itr. Have you ran at the track what are you 1/4 mile times.

For power.....the built GSR motor with a ITR tranny. For the reliability and power....ITR motor.
