Well, it depends on what you are looking for. Since you say you are wanting to keep everything stock, you should go with the B16. Those engines can take an endless amount of abuse. Not to mention, the B16 head flows better than the B18b and the B18C head.
B16 = shorter stroke = less stress = boost it!!

a friend of mine said that he got better traction off the line with the b16 'cause that extra torque with the b18 causes some mad wheelspin.

I would think a b18b would be better because of the displacement. Also the b18b is a cheaper engine so if it blows it would be easier and cheaper to find a replacement or getting a b20. Plus the b16 would need a little more tuning because of the vtec. You would wanna make sure that there is enough oil going around that engine once vtec kicks in.

Incorrect.
GSR head flows better than the B16

To me, it looks like the GSR is better...
But I'll concur that the GSR is not that much better...

They flow almost exactly the same, except wih the points between .125 and .2 where the GSR head flows a little bit better, and then between .225 and .35 where the B16 head flows better BY very very small amounts. I think the amounts aren't different enough to really try and say which head flows better because it is pretty close.

They flow almost exactly the same
I averaged them out..
GSR: 102.081
B16: 102.001
So very very close...but still, looks like the GSR head flows better.
My original point was to prove that the GSR head is not worse than the B16
