Would 99-00 civic taillights fit a 96-98 civics?
#3
Are you sure they fit? I kind of want to do it too just because I like the way they look at night. I know altezza's will give you the same style but altezza's aren't my taste. Suscribed to this thread.

sedan won't fit.....the outer will the trunk won't,
you'll need the 99-00 sedan trunk, and you'll need to know how to use a multimeter and solder, because the wiring harness is completely different
i've done it a couple of times at my shop.....isn't recommended for the someone who doesn't have electrical back ground

thanks guys. i'll just be doing the outer tailight for now. probably cost me alot of money for a trunk the same color as my car so i'll just do the outside. electrical is pretty easy for me so thats no problem.

where did you get the red/white taillights for your daily driver? looks pretty nice.
Another question, Do coupe front ends fit the sedans? Like fenders, bumper, hood - are they the same from coupe to sedan?

The front fits perfectly. Known as the Si Conversion.

Jesus there's a lot of misinformation in this thread.
People, he has a sedan! Not a coupe!

No it's not.
First off, all '99-'00 USDM coupe taillights are red and white. It's not just the Si and it's not called the Si conversion.
Second, all US '99-'00 front ends are the same. The only differences for the Si is that it has a different grille and it has a standard front lip, where the other trims have the same lip as an option.
To clarify, all US '96-'98 front ends are the same too.

The JDM '99-'00 sedan taillights are not red and white.
Here is a photo of a 1999-2000 JDM Civic sedan.

I have seen '99-'00 sedan taillights from the Philippines which are red and white though.
The JDM Integra SJ also has taillights that are red and white and would fit on a '96-'98 Civic sedan.
