Hey guys i have a 1993 del sol si with a d16z6 that i wanted to setup for autox and i was wondering if what i was planing on getting would be worth it or if i should save for a new car BTW any sugestions would be great so heres what i am planing on.
H&R Sport srpings 1.3 in. drop
KYB AGX shocks with new upper mounts
Corbeau Forza seats and harnesses
Custom Roll Bar
Skunk 2 cam gear
Apexi Rev/Speed Meter
DC Sports 4-2-1 CC header
Tanabe R/M exhaust
Magnecore plugwires
And a 1996 front bumper (mine is fucked and insurance won't pay for a new one)

Thanks for the help

looks good.. but I'd forget the Magncore wire and just run some NGKs..and do u need the revspeed meter? and I'm sure if you soruce the parts well you can save your self some money on all the costs.. good luck and sounds like a solid start

If there's nothing wrong with your stock wires, leave them.

wont hurt to get new plugs, but are you going to update the ignition... if not then stick with OEM plugs.

I agree the stock wires are sufficient, and also i'd like to say the only reason to purchase and install cam gears would be because you purchased some performance cams(or in your case "cam") and their timing needs to be dialed in and tuned for optimum performance, just installing a cam gear on stock cam's could gain you .5 to 1hp. you and i are no smarter than honda when it comes to cam timing on 'their motors' with 'their cams'. i hope im not coming off as a d*ck
but those are my 2 pennys. good luck pz.

no experience with autocross myself yet, but from what I have heard, seat time is more valuable than anything you listed there. Get the experience first and foremost. Also, you have to be aware of classifications, certain mods can bump you into classes that you may not have a prayer in. (It is not as difficult as it may seem to land yourself in a higher grouping, Ive taken a look at the rules a few times.)

don't bother with h&r sports. Go ahead and go for ground control coilover sleeves. Also, check the local rules. Getting racing seats may put you in a different class.

I would recomend getting a more aggresive shock/spring combo, like the koni/ground control, or the koni/eibach ers combo. I personally am alot more happy with that setup than I was riding along during auto-x with people who have kybs. Don't get me wrong I like the kybs but if you are going to be serious about auto-x the go all out. The people who I talked to with the kybs are always saying that they wish they had waited and got some konis. Good luck I hope that helps.
