Is it worth $2400?
I went to look at a 98 honda civic ex today... From looking at the car its in fair condition.
-The clear coat on most of the car has been baked due to sitting in one spot for so long in direct sunlight. Also the boby kit has paint chipping off.. (but not bad)
-It has a wings west body kit, halo lights with HID's, AEM short ram intake, 18" Motegi rims, dropped with coil overs. The dude couldnt remember what kind coil overs he used.
-It has minor rust on the body where the door is.
-One rim has been curbed but not bad. Tires are like new.
-Interior was good condition.
---One thing is that the engine was blown he thinks. He believes that he through a connecting rod. (he thinks) The motor will not turn over. We tried to push start it and the motor wouldnt even turn over. (probably seized)
So does anybody think its worth $2400?

Im not to big into the body kits either... Its a wings west but apparently its an older kit. Its not to flashy but has an aggressive look to it.

To me that sounds like a terrible deal. You will have to put a lot of money into getting rid of that nasty body kit and replacing with oem parts and then on top of that you will still have to swap in a new engine. If the motor runs, I say its a decent deal...otherwise you are just paying very top dollar for a riced out shell.

I wouldn't touch that thing if I were you. It might have a blown motor It has a rust spot It has a body kit It has halos It has 18s The guy can't even remember what kind of coilovers he used Who knows what other mods he could of done to it and forgot about. I wouldn't even buy it if it did have a good motor.

I thought this at one point. But on the other hand you may need a whole new motor. you cant test drive it so you dont know how the shocks or anything else suspension wise is.
I personally wouldnt buy it at all. it has too much to fix.

I don't think I would buy it. Sounds like alot of work to get it looking decent again. And if I was to buy a car from somebody and they couldn't even remember what parts they put on there, I would be pretty leary about it.

For $2400, NO
For $1400, YES
Talk him down, to make it worth something to you. It needs a motor. So are you paying to tow or is he? You'll spend at least $1000 for immediate repairs.

ehh, this guy sounds like a dumb ricer, how do you not remember what kind of coil overs you used???? i don't know, it doesn't sound like a horrible deal, but with a blown motor and body kits, look for another deal.
