wiring up tachometer

Default wiring up tachometer

k guys i need to know which wires go where, im installin an auto meter tach and shift light on my b18c5 in my EK

green wire- goes to your dizzy (the blue wire)
black wire- is ground
white wire- goes to your parking light switch
red wire- goes to your ignition (the big fat white wire)

by dizzy you mean the wires coming from the distrbutor cap? where is the ignition wire (fat white wire) and where is the parking light switch, sorry im a serious honda noobie, but i dont mind asking questions

2nd question the only wire i have lying around is speaker wire. will this wire work to hook everything up??

no, the wire for the distributor is in the plug it will be blue wire the only blue wire in the plug, its next the the black and yellow wire. and the ignition wire is in the steering column, its the big white wire that goes to the back of the place where your key goes in your ignition.and sorry i really cant remember what color or which wire for the lights.

Please go out and buy some real wire. I would not reccomend speaker wire for this.

naw man just wait until you get better wire ok, dont use speaker wire
(but use it if your completly broke and desperate)

You could wire together the red and white wires together and wire them up to the fuse box, to the intruments, just an advice, it could make your wiring easier :-) what i did to mines

depending on witch car on mine i hooked up my green wire to a wire that is on like a little metal plug thing it is a single blue wire and it is almost write buy where you put you clutch fluid in its right there buy your fire wall but i drive a 99 dx hatch when i hooked mine up to the blue wire on the distributor my tach said it idled at like 6 grand so it just all depends on your year but check your fire wall its the easiest
