Wiring sidemarkers?? Do I need a relay?
Hey all- i want my sidemarkers on when my headlights are on and blinking when im turning, but i do NOT want them to alternate with the headlight turn signal I want them to blink in sync with the turn signal.
I know you can wire them to be off all the time then blink in sync with the turn signal or on with headlights and blink in alternation with the turn signal but i dont know how to wire it to get it to perform the way I want it to.
I know its a single-filament bulb so Im guessing i would need some kinda of relay to make it blink the way I want? Does anyone know for sure?

probably would be easier to some how put a dual filament bulb in there and run wires,,, sounds like alot of trouble having relays for something that small

yeah i would need to somehow hack up the harness and from what i looked at that would be a bigger pain
i was thinking just a relay that fed the sidemarker power from the headlights when they are on, then when it gets power from the signal wire it siwtches to that as the power source, after that loses power it switches back to the headlight power if they are on
problem is i dont know **** about relays :-/ i read a lil on wikipedia but can anyone gimme a lil more info or links?

Re: (turbotime)
the side marker should only be on when using the signal. best bet is play around with it for a little.
you can doit however you, pending on how you wire it. you can have them blink same time. or alternate between marker and lamp.

ttt still havent figured it yout, i got some relays but cant figure out how to wire them to get the desired result
I basically need it to run off the constant 12v until the pulse 12v gets signal then it needs to run on the pulse until it stops then switch back to the constant 12v
theres gotta be some electrical wizzes that can do this
