Wiring a odb1 vtec to odb2a P2E ecu
Still a bit of a noob on motor swaps, but just put a mini me (y7 block/z6 head) in my 98 civic LS (nonvtec). Have almost everything hooked up except my vtec solenoid. Cant seem to find anything about wiring it up tp a stock 98 odb2a (p2e) ecu. Can i follow the normal diagram for odb2a ecu and hook my vtec up or do i have to get the p28 ecu and harness adapter?

Assuming it is a manual car.
To stay OBDII and have VTEC, you need to swap in a manual EX ECU. That system uses a different IACV than the manual LX. So you have to swap to a manual EX intake to replace your 3-wire IACV with a 2-wire one, and rewire the IACV circuit.
To use an OBD1 ECU you also have to convert to 2-wire IACV, as all OBD1s are two wire.
