Wiring Horn on a 00 civic with Quick Release
I did search..and was able to find some info... but for the most part everything was meant for the 92-95 civic. I found one thread dealing with a 96-00 civic but his wiring harness from the SRS reel looked completely differnet from mine. Basically i have a momo hub, FET quick release... and i cant for the life of me figure out how to wire up my horn. anyone care to help shead some light?

Tap it? Please explain more? The horn should only sound when that wire is grounded.

thats what a horn button is for, when u press the button it ground it out and makes it blow. if u touch it to ur hub, ur essentially pressing the horn button and activating the horn

You need to get a small metal part from an 88-91 civic or early pre airbag honda. I've heard it called a shoehorn because thats what it looks like. basically its a small metal tab that makes conatant contact with the back of the hub even when the wheel is turning, your hub should have a wire comming off of it that will connect to your horn button, this will give you your horn with out airbag. best way to see how it works is head for the junkyard and pull of a wheel. all you'll need is a 19mm sockett and a phiilips screwdriver. I had to use on when I got my jdm
non srs wheel.
non srs wheel.
