winter time in NJ
i never had a honda in the winter, so i have a few questions about the snow
1- i need a camber kit so i can lower my rear with out tire wear, does it make sense to buy one, when in about 2-3 months i will be rasiing up my car to sock height for the snow.
2-i want a mugen front lip, will my lipe fine in the snow? do most eg/ek owners take off their lips in the snow?
3- where can i get some better than OEM matts for the car, my oems suck! they are about 2 inches to small all around

meh, just lower it, its not like your gonna be going off roading in your honda, just dont drive in 4+ inches of snow on the road, the north has mad good road care, just be careful of your paint from all the sand + salt they throw down, lived in new york for 16 years i know the damage it does to cars (rust buckets) and i now live in north carolina, NO snow whatsoever, and NO roadcare whatsoever, you'd be fine in the winter, no problems.
edit: local honda dealers have stock floormatts, i prefer those. sorry didnt read that one.

What he said. When I have to drive my si I do it except when there is over 4 inches on the ground. But when I do drive it I tape the front end up to protect it from the sand/salt. Just get some good winter tires(thinner is better) and just drive safe

Driving in the snow isn't really that bad. The only time it sucks is when there is that mohawk of snow down the middle that every other car just glides over except my car that is plowing all the huge chunks of snow with my lip/bumper.

im in asheville NC, no snow...thats pushing it, just not as much snow as in the north. but you shouldnt worry about raising it back up, when it snows and they salt the roads, just clean the car afterwards to keep it from rusting, paint damaging.

There is no working around it, your car will get salt build-up. Tape ip the front lip so it won't get scratched up. But as far as lowering it plus snow, I don't think tape will help.

Re: winter time in NJ (BLUE EH3)
unless you drive on the freeway for 30 minutes+ a day id get a beater *** piece of **** toyota from the early 80's and drive it all winter...
or, buy an 87 corolla fastback... drive it through winter and then turn it into a drift car in spring.

get those plastic floormats they advertise in the back of Car and Driver that can hold like a gallon of water.
I keep my lowered all winter. The only problem I've ever encountered in deep snow is that, when I back up, the splash pan becomes a snow scoop.
Oh yah, get some Blizzaks and laugh at all the SUV drivers stuck on the side of road with their Light Truck M+S tires.

Re: (94CivicSi)
...Then get floormats.
I live in PA. The only thing I'm gonna do is take off my rims and put my steelies back on, you could always just replace all of your fenders with carbon fiber... no more rust. Or being more realistic just live with the fact that if you drive a civic during the winter it will always and forever look like ****. Doesn't mean it has to run like it though.

Re: (Newark Built Kandy SiC-RX)
How much are you planning to lower it? I have mine lowered 1.8" and 1.5" front and rear respectively. Mine is fine in upstate NY's snowy winters. Just use judgement if you know the snow is going to be fairly deep. Or "buy a $500 beater". I got myself a 91 S-10 Blazer 4wd for snow. $700. Great purchase IMO.
