Default will the transmission from a 96? accord F22B1 adapt to 93 SI 3dr stock engine

Hi, I bought a Honda 96? Accord EX F22B1 SOHC Vtec motor and Trans. (I've seen the engine Config and numbers stamped on the block even though some codes id it as a DOHC) I want to install JUST the transmission in my 93 SI 3door with a stock engine. Can you advise me if it workable/do-able? Need a reply asap if possible.
Thanks.

No. F-series and D-series transmissions are NOT interchangable.

Why would you do this anyway? What did you buy the motor and tranny for?

Stupid moment..., 57,000 miles on it. I thought it was interchangable.
Know anybody looking for this combo @ $700.00?

You can put the F22 in your car if you really really want to. It's not going to be a speed deamon, but since you already have it you could swap the whole motor/tranny combo in.

Thanks Ricey, No I don't want the headachs of a complete swap. I screwed up thinking the tranny would swap and I would sell off the engine or install it at a later date. The package has 57,000 miles on it and is for sale.
