if the ecu doesnt see a signal from the oil press. switch and the vtec solenoid, it will throw a cel, to the best of my knowledge. ive done alot of research on rpm activted switches and things alike, but the best ways are with the ecu, or like apexi vafc or fields vtec controller. trying to get around the ecu with homemade shortcuts are more of a headache down the road. i personaly think its a bad idea, but if it work and you like it, go with it.
