There are problems you are going to run into when swapping the SH H22A4. But an H22A1, you can swap in without much more work than a B-series.

Yes you can if you have the mount kit. I know a few people with H22 swaps. One in an EG hatch, one in a DC integra, and one in a BB prelude.

this is what this kid told me
SH modle motor/trans CANNOT be used to swap into anytihng but another SH prelude it has a separate transfer box on the tranny for the drive axle which does not fit into anything but an SH. also it is electronically controlled so if u get it to fit u got a wiring problem and will never get it to drive. and the block is different from the normal h22a4,h22a and h22a1 it can only be used with SH model as it doesn't have holes for 1/2 shaft and normal trans will not bolt up to it. sorry but i'd hate to see someone try this again

I would stick with a b series andmake it easy. Unless you're doing a 94-97 accord. Then the H22 is a must.

none of this is true, an A4 with a civic harness on it, no sweat. for the trans axle you have to get some custom axles, or integra and prelude mix. the blocks are the same. any H22 can fit into integras civics and crx, maybe others.
a few years back there was not that much info on this, so most people were under the same inpressions that you bud is.
