Re: Will EK Civic seats bolt right into an EG Civic? (SloCivicHMM)
I knew someone would ask that.
I'm looking for a cheap, comfortable alternative to my stock seats.
I've tried GSR & del Sol seats and neither is any more comfortable than the stockers. The side bolster of the seat bottom sticks in my leg and cramps it up!
So I need something more flat like an EG sedan seat or maybe a stock EK seat. I'm open to suggestions

My .02 The Accords got the best seats...i could fall asleep behind the wheel sitting in those seats...
...don't know if they'll fit though. Good luck!

OK, heres the deal! listen to nobody else, becuase i have actually delt with this, lol.
You dont need to change brackets/sliders, ETC. when bolting in the EK seats in a EG. Bolt up the fronts of the sliders first(closest to steering wheel or glovebox) with whatever side you start on, then bolt up the rear slider closest to the door. the last one is the larger bolt that bolts to the rear sliders closest to the middle of the car or center console, youll see all you have to do is grind the hole in the slider bracket about 1/4 of an inch to make it a perfect fit. Mark that ish, pull em out, grind that extra clearance you need away. bolt em back in, in the same order i told you above and your done...

im pretty sure between EG and EK the seat brackets are the same height so no issues there. Compromise,, what you mean? hurt it in any way? no way, youll see with that last bolt, the slider actually has plenty of room to work with. Wont be any weaker by any means.
--the only seat i can think of that will sit you lower than an EG or EK seat is the del sol Si seats, those definatly seat you an inch or more lower than most.

Agreed. I have del sol seats in my car now and they sit you much lower than the stock Civic seats and the GSR seats.
