Default Will this difference be a problem?

I'm swapping my d16y7 for a d16y8. I was planning to re-use the Y7 s40 manual transmission, but after looking at this picture in my manual I'm not as confident. I imagine the transmission is the same, I'll probably need to purchase the Y8 mounts and clutch cover. Any thoughts?

I've heard to run it without the stiffener, but that's a really big piece of aluminum to just not use it. If anyone has a guess I'd love to hear it

it will work fine. Unless you plan on doing some serious mud bogging, you don't need the clutch cover.

OK, but what about the stiffener, I don't think it's going to match up to the Y8 block, just go without it? also if I don't put on a clutch cover will I be able to see my clutch?

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll be able to see the back of the flywheel. I mean, dont jam your fingers in there or anything.
