Default Will a CRX Si ecu work with a d15b7?

i have a 1993 del sol s model. the motor in question is the d15b7. my buddy gave me a crx si ecu 1991. (d16a6). he swears that this ecu is an obd1, although i thought it was obd-0. my question is .... will it plug into the del sol harness providing it is a obd1, and...will it give any significant hp/tq gain if only a few. or will it just run maddd rich? I know when i had my crx si cam shaft and cam gear installed it definitly made a noticable increase. will the ecu do the same?

thanks in advance for any and all help.
