Default Will a b16 stock header bold up to a d16y8 stock exhaust system?

basically dropping in a b16a2 complete into a 98 civic ex coupe. will the header line up and fit with the stock d16y8 exhaust? maybe need a new donut to ensure the seal?

thanks, any insight is appreciated

The others who replied didn't understand the question. I think the OP is asking if the B16a header will bolt up to the stock exhaust. I don't know but if it doesn't, an exhaust shop should be able to do it for cheap.

I'm not sure about a B16, but on a B18, the tabs on the flange are opposite the tabs on the stock d16y8 flange. Also, the stock exhaust is a little too short. When I did mine, I had to take it to a muffler shop and have the guy cut the flange off the cat, weld in another 2" of pipe, and turn the flange 45 degrees. Then it fits. He charged me $20 for it and took about 20 minutes.

I think the B16 has the same type of flange as the gsr header, so I think you'll have to do the same.

x1

one thing different about above is that you won't have to cut. comming from experince, the down pipe section for the b16 header is longer then a b18. only thing that would make this comment different is that the b16 was put in a 93 si(eg). didn't have to cut or anything, just straight bolt on. now i don't know if this well be the same for your 98 ex. the flange might not line up.
