Default Will 06-08 si seats fit in my 97 dx hatchback?

I was looking for new seats and I was wondering if the 06-08 si seats would just bolt right in or if i would have to get new stuff to put them in, or do they fit at all?

Thanks

I think I recall reading that they might be similar to RSX seats, which require modification to fit. The photos I've seen of RSX seats do not show them fully bolted in.

I'd post a link if I knew of one off hand. I know there are threads about it though.

they either require ghetto rigging or serious modification. They will sit too high. In my opinion they are just too large for the car. I would go with s2k seats.

ehhhh. depends on your size if you want the s2000 seats, i put them in my car and i am 6' 210 and cant fit in them at all, I want to try out the rsx seats to see if my wide shoulders will work with them.

Yeah I guess I didn't think about you huge guys. I'm 5'9" 145lbs and I dig the s2000 seats. However I also really like the EP3 Si seats but I think they are just too big for an eg or ek.

I have done it in my ek - I even had a thread I made about it but since honda-tech changed over i can't find it WTF!!!!!

I cut the mounting brackets of the ek seats & welded up custom made brackets to mount to fg2 seats

fyi - the seats sat slightly lower than stock dx seats...

yes they will, my friend put a 07 civic si seats in his 95 civic 4-door (3 of the 4 holes lined up, he just cut/welded a new footer on that 1 hole). the 92-95 civic and 96-00 civic have the same mounting points so you should be good

although what you said can be done, you are wrong about eg & ek chassis having the same mounting points. they are slightly difference - proof is in that eg/dc use different bracket mounts than ek, for the same recaro seat

here what I did to mount mine

a.) cut off the mounting brackets from the bottom oem eg/ek/dc seat brackets - they are welded on so cut the welds. brackets are blue in diagram

b.) bolt the brackets down & weld 3/16 to 1/4" ( by 1") steel bar (in black in diagram) to the brackets. 2 or 4 bars per seat (2 side to side & optional 2 front to rear). the weld points are in red

c.) remove the brackets welded in a & b & weld them to the bottom of the rails of the fg2 2006+ si seats (welds shown in green) note one of the seats had a double decker bracket but when you remove the fg2 si seat brackets the seats with the rails sit at the same height

here is the only pic I have of a corner of the bracket welded up

note the spot weld you see was just to tack the bar - it was completely welded on the underside (out of view in pic)

Looks good 6spdek, I Have one ep3 seat in my Ek, I love how it feels. On the Stock EP3 seat, the little "feet" that are riveted onto the seat rails need to be moved, and on the seat rails there is already holes drilled from honda, So you will need to grind out the old rivits, and move them into the other hole, but its the right rear foot(on drivers side) that has to be extended about an 1" so it can be bolted down.

There is none, you need to cut the brackets off, or drill out the spot welds, do the same for the fg/fa seats, get a metal bar as you see i nthe image above and weld them all together.
