Why to replace B18C1 Mani Before Swap?
I was told that before swaping a B18C1 into an EG, it would be best to replace the mani with a Type R/Skunk 2. My question is why? Not only because of the gains, but I think it had to do with wiring? Not sure...

well if you replaced it you wouldn't have to wire up the IABs, but it really doesn't matter if you don't wire them, you won't throw a code or anything. That is the only difference in wiring that I can think of.

I did it after my swap and all I can say is it was worth it! Its a fairly cheap upgrade and opens up some space since you wont need some of the junk the old manifold needs for smog purposes.
I went with BLOX. Check out their manifolds...basically Type R/Skunk2...I went Blox on the manifold and skunk2 throttle body.
