check your bulbs but its probably not that.. did you hit a bump or anything? im gonna guess its either your grounds arnt tight or its shorting to ground

Sorry Murk, I don't understand what you are saying. Like I said, very high resistance wouldn't cause a fuse to pop. Maybe you're thinking of something else.

resistance in the circuit (before the load) that is greater then the load itself will "take up" or use the voltage that is suposed to be going to the load but isnt getting grounded so the current is being "stored" at the high resistance point and when the car or power to that load is shut off will then "fly back" and blow the fuse due to the current hitting the fuse and being that it was stored it is greater then the 10 or 15 amp fuse
how ever this is not the OPs problem it is however a problem that can occur due to corrosion dirt moisture anything that will cause high resistance ware its not suposed to be
trust me it happens i just got done today with a toyota he had a problem with his break light and it took a long *** time but that was the cause.. it was high resistance in the circuit

Check the dimmer switch. A bad dimmer switch sometimes causes a short. I think civic_driver has the right idea about what a short is.

how wouldent you get what a short is.. its an unwanted path for current to flow---straight outta the book
