i have a 96 hatch. i bought it with a b16a2 in it and it has the si conversion on the inside with the si climate control stuff. but anyway i bought a si cluster and plugged it up and it doesnt work but it works in my friends si. so what is it that i need to do to fix that. do i need to get a si interior harness. any help would be great. all the plugs plugged right into it.

it should be plug and play for all 96-00 civics....does ur original cluster work when u put it bacc in?

my cluster from my eg doesnt work either its on its off

there was a gsr cluster in there when i got the car..a guy on here said that if there was a gsr cluster in there then it was re pined for the cluster and i have to re pin it for the em1 si cluster. if this is so does anyone have a diagram or know how id go about that.

Oh man, well thats your problem alright, why didn't you tell everyone right of the bat the wiring had been modified? The fact you try an Si cluster and wonder why it doesn't work after you know the car was modified is beyond me.

Anyway, search GSR cluster swap, you have to do the wiring in reverse.

okay got the wire back converted to the em1 cluster. it works but the gas needle doesnt work. when i turn the car on the its just goes up to full and stays. its not the fuel sender unit or the gauge because it didnt work on the gsr cluster and i swapped fuel sender units wit a friends of mines and that didnt fix it either...any ideas why??
