EK9 BEEZLER

I bought the j's replica intake from memory fab for my ek hatch. its got a b16b in it as opposed to a b16a and for some reason the intake wont fit. when i simply put it in place and connect it to the throttle body the filter and side of the intake will not fit no matter what. if i then try to jam the filter down it will kind of fit but then the connector from the intake to the throttle body gets jammed up and wont flow any air if it stays in that position. is the b16b intake manifold that much different than the b16a? is there something im missing here? maybe i got sent the wrong one? ill try to take pics today to help out.
