Using the button that re circulates the air in the car can fog up your car bad...its best to let fresh air circulate in your car and use newspaper to wash your windows..i heard about it but never tried it until i washed my windows last time...works amazing

I started this post and then found the ****. Rain X makes Fog Preventer, check the site about it. But you can pick some up at Walmart or any place that sells car supplies. I haven't used it personally, but I have used their 'Glass Treatment', and it works like a dream. If I have dew on my windows and sunroof from the night humidity. As soon as i roll down my driveway its rolling off. Beads up like crazy. Hope this helps.

I still think it's lame that when it's cold and rainy you have to run the AC to get the defroster to work. I also have a POS Nissan Sentra and that thing can recirculate hot air and keep the windows fog free and does it quickly. But in my civic I have to choose between warm and cozy, or cold and full vision.

The A/C doesn't need to be cold to defrost the windows. Turn the heater on and the A/C at the same time it will keep the windows fog free and you cozy and warm. It's the fact that the A/C is actually drying the air that keep the windows clear.
Oh yeah and clean windows will always be less prone to fogging than dirty ones.

I use A/C personally. It works great no matter the season.
The reason it does work as many of you are aware is because not only does A/C warm or cool but it also removes the moisture from the air.
In the summer when it really hot and humid and pouring rain you can keep cool and clear your windows at the same time.
In the winter it will warm you and keep your windows clear.
This is the first car I have owned with A/C and it is not a option I would pay extra for on a car but having had it now on a car if it came with it at no extra cost It wouldn't bother me.

when its cold and rainy just put the defroster on (no need for A/C) and put the temp in the middle range, putting it at all the way hot will cause your window to fog (hot air on a cold windshield). The rain X defogger is garbage dont waste your money.

the rain x stuff worked really well for me, i rarely need my defroster, i mainly use it in the cold so that i can spray my windshield and not worry about the fluid freezing on contact

I think your talking about the rain X for the outside windshield, rain X defogger is for the inside of the windshield

yea, that's what i used...came in the box, smells really strong, very flammable, not the additive to the fluid. i meant that i use the defroster(on hot) to keep the windshield warm, no frozen fluid when used

cracking the window just a bit also will help the windows clear quicker.
as well as using the ac, make sure you have the vent open to point at the windows.

rain x is the same thing as their defogger formula, they just sell it as defogger so you buy rain x for rain, and defogger for fog. i use rain x for the fog, just use it on the inside and outsides of your windows.

I used rainx anti fog stuff and it gave me nothing but problem. For some reason after putting it on, it started to haze really really bad. I had to whip it off, I was thinking it did this because it was cold out though. I also think rubber alcohol might work because I know there is some alcohol in that rainx antifog.

The A/C will help a lot. Think about it what causes fog? Water. What does the A/C do? Takes the water out of the air. Temp. doesnt matter with the A/C on, either way the fog is gone in 10 seconds.
Newspaper to clean your windows Doesn't leave streaks either.

my civic does the same thing and it is really annoying to have to sit there and wait for it to go away, and if you are impatient you wipe it off but then it streaks up your windshield and you cant see out of it!
fog is a bitch
