i was just wondering why everyone wants the seats from a stock del sol, i was thinking about selling them and buying some "racing seats" but i want to make sure i don't sell them and they wish i hadn't.. also i heard they are worth aroundd 300 bux... is this right?

I believe Recaro made those seats for Honda.

a lot of EF and EG guys get em because their a big improvement over the stock seats. they bolt right in, fairly comfortable, somewhat cheap and are a honda seat.
i know some 99-00 Si guys get em because their stockers sit way to high and del sol seats are pretty low. another plus is that there are a lot of diff. color fabrics to choose from.

300 bux isn't bad if they are in really good shape.

In a 5g Civic HB they sit about 2" lower and have alot better side support for the twisties.

I only paid $150 for mine.

becayse they are very comfortable and they sit low and hold you well like a racing seat sort of and they are cheep

EF Si seats are very comfy too, they are also made by recaro. But they require a lot of custom fabrication to get them to fit into an EG, so for ease of install go with del sols.

i my self like the 92integra seats, they sit low,have mad bolsters, and have an open headrest. i am rolling on a set from japan out of an integra xsi...the only reason why i dont like the sols is because of the "lack" of the open headrests.

I don't get the point of open headrests, besides that they look kinda nifty. They dont give as much support as full headrests. So what is it? Aerodynamics?

I just think the open headrests look better. I've never sat in a seat where the headrest provide my head with suppport of any kind, cept when I'm a passenger and sleeping
Maybe cuz they look JDM and save like 6 grams over the solid headrests hehe

Take a 4 hour roadtrip in a 99-00 Civic Si and then you'll know why everyone is looking to get rid of the stock seats.

And yet they are more comfortible than stock 5th gen seats
I swapped out my stock seats in my "EG" and put in the 99-00 si's and it was a great improvement cept that they sat lots higher than my stock ones, but comfort wise they were much better. I think maybe prelude seats are the answer...

have you tried the 88-91 prelude seats? they are pretty nice and comfortable seats..and you have the side adjustable bolsters too...

Sol seats lay back pretty flat, 10x better than stock Sol seats.

kinda ot, but if anyone is looking for an awesome low priced seat check out the corbeau Forza 2, it trips me out how a seat can change the whole driving experience

all i know is that we put the solid colored blackish blue del sol's in my friend's white 94 hatch, and it was such a drastic improvement, the only thing is if you're shorter than 5'11" its a pain the ham... would putting 99-00 civic rails on it make the del sols sit up higher, cuz the 92+ rails made it sit hella slammed
