Why does everyone want to buy my car?
I just picked up a 95 Civic EX Coupe a few weeks ago at a bankruptcy auction. I've had a half dozen people offer to buy it from me. (none willing to pay alot of course )
I'm wondering just what magic this thing holds that people want me to give it away to them?

It depends on what kind of people are trying to buy the car, but I think older people try to buy them because they think they can get a car that will get great gas mileage for cheap.

I hate people just begging for attention.. I mean there's no pictures and we're somewhat suppose to believe that out of a 100,000 civic Ex Coupes out there, yours is the chosen one? who cares.. close this thread

people want my car to, its just the gas mileage for some and it being so mint for others who are into hondas. some pizza delivery guy wanted my car, he had a busted coupe.

You forget the 5 post 15 day participation rule. Trolling isn't quite what I'd be thinking towards you. Thanks for post whoring my thread with your grand opinion anyways.
:D
I really don't know what it is about the car. It's not pretty but considering it's age, not bad and the offers mostly come sight unseen.
Besides the VSS melting down at 203300 miles plus the big dollar VTec oil sensor being broken and other minor BS it's acceptable as a daily driver.
The engine has been diddled with and runs like scaled cat but like I mentioned most want it sight unseen.
Hondas are all over the place here but they want some money for them at the lots. I guess people think I'm gullible enough to want to get rid of it cheap. They're wrong

Did you ever think it was just coincidence that a bunch of people around the same time offered you money for it? I get people ever so often ask me if I would sell it, mostly fathers looking to buy their daughter their first car because it's so reliable and screams dependability, which is very appealing to some.

It's been a mix of older and younger, all male.
I'm inclined to agree with turboteg90. The last wannabe was all excited by the VTec. For a "friend" of course.

hmmm...maybe they think you don't deserve it and should give it to someone who does?
maybe cuz everyone wants a Honda, and if it's in decent condition w/ decent miles
someone's gonna ask ya...

Re: Why does everyone want to buy my car?
lol off topic no one has really offered to buy my car but for some reason people always approach me and say "...that's a ugh 93 civic isn't it, i had one just like one"
and this normally wouldn't seem weird to me if they all guess different years, but being i've had 4 people ask me that and it is a 93 kinda spooks me out :-)
but ya if your car gets lots of potential buyers i would hope you have some good security on that thing. and perhaps if it's done up they want to buy it because they are too lazy to build their own?

It's the sunroof. I'd love to find an ex around here but everything that comes up is way overpriced. I could care less about the engine or miles, I'd like to find one for the power sunroof.
