close your poll, and duck and cover. Short rams are pretty much the same. Nothing but noise. If your looking for those itty bitty hp gains you should go with cold air. Stick to the big names any you'll be fine.

save ur money for a cai.... all short rams are very similiar. only difference is using a heat shield or not. which still wont do much.

real difference between a cai and a short ram intake is only about 2-3 horse power. if you need that then buy a cai. if you are ok with a short ram then go get yourself a generic brand. its all the same.

20 horse power gain from a cai?? can anyone confirm this? its hard to believe, not sayings its not true cause I havent read the magazine..but dang thats alot for a cai.

All of the short ones are the same, you might as well just make your own out of some mandrel bent piping and it will prob be prettier, cheaper and better then most of the crap out there.

Stock airbox with a highpass filter if your serious about PERFORMANCE
CAI is no good, to much turbelant air, not nearly as productive as everyone thinks. Not to mention aluminum piping or plastic piping heats up....and the air is hot again by time it goes from fender to intake manifold, its a gimmick....if cold air was such hot ****, why dont you see more SPORTS cars running it .... or more serious circuit racers or D1 competitors running it .... its a gimmick, AEM cashed in on thousands of teens who wanna be "fast n furious" so they put together a lil hokie pipe and filter....then sold you a 40 dollar water filter so their intake they designed wouldnt lock up your motor .... another hoax, AEM is a joke

Ok I'll post my 2.5" AEM CAI vs. a typical off the shelf 3" short ram intake using the same AEM filter. Remember this is a PUNY yet well tuned D15B7 with simple bolt-ons.
12 hp gain at 4800 rpm, 8 hp gain on topend before limiter kicked in. Notice the AEM setup was still gaining power (BARELY!) when the 6800 rpm limiter kicked in.
Anyone??????
