I have an empty plug on my EX harness, the CX has the same empty plug, but I can't seem to find something to plug it into. My ECU is throwing the MAP code and I'm guessing that my MAP simply isn't plugged in, since I can't seem to FIND IT!

Any suggestions/help in finding it? PICTURES would be fantastic.

should be right on top of throttle body.

is it a 1st or 2nd get b16.....if its a 1st the MAP sensor is external..i got mine off of a 92 DX hatch......if its a 2nd gen its built on top of the throtlebody..hope this helps...

if its a 1st gen it might be hanging under the intake manifold...i have seen them zip tied there before since it is usually on the firewall

It is a 2nd Gen B16A (hydro trans, right?? first gen is cable?)

I don't see anything like that on top of the IM. What does it look like? How many wires are going to it??

ya it should be built into your throttle body...its on the top..like a 3 prong connector...if you have the plugs switch from the MAP and IAC it will run like ***.....good luck

The JDM b16a wont come with a map sensor since its mounted on the firewall on the jdm civic. Just use your dx MAP sensor, located on top the the throttle body ( plug with three wires, held in by 2 screws) and mount it to your firewall and run the vacuum hose to the jdm throttlebody.

You're half right. JDM B16A SiR2 has the map sensor on the firewall. Now, if you are is anything but an Si, your MAP sensor should ALSO be on the firewall. Only the Si (I am pretty sure of this) has the MAP sensor on the intake manifold. You need to plug it to the map sensor that should be on your firewall next to the fuel filter

Er..... wrong all but the DX have the MAP on the thorttle body !! Dx have it on the Firewall !!

Truth be told: the stock MAP was on top of the old d15 intake manifold.

it is mounted to the firewall mid center, about an inch from the top of firewall, it has 1 vaccuum line going from throttle body to sensor and one harness

its supposed to be mounted to the firewall but all i did was connect a hose to the brass nipple on top of the throttle body to the bottom of the map sensor and then i ziptied the map sensor to the firewall.. just do a search this has been covered alot of times with pics to answer all your questions
