Your going to need a OBD2 tester on your car. Go to a local parts store and see if they check it for free. If not take it to a dealership and they can pull the code for you.

Yup got the code... P0700 and P0730 - transmission failure and improper gear ratio or some BS like that .... guess I'll have to take it to a tranny shop.. The car acts weird when I accelerate from a stop or accelerate when its changing gears... basically it hops sorta like if you are learning to drive a stick and arent working the gears right...

I have some software called AutoEngenuity on my laptop that connects though the OBDII port and a USB cable. Cost me like 220 or so. I love it. Not only does it read codes, but it also allows ou to datalog each of your sensors and watch them in realtime with a laptop.

I just bought this one too dood for the palm pilot... it also dyno's your car, does 1/4 mile, 1/8, HP, RPM.. etc.. this fall they are supposed to be releasing some software ware that can alter the ECU through OBD2.. not sure how, but interesting

Yeah...Im sure that works about as well as the *** dyno, as far as accuracy goes
