Wheel/Suspension question

Wheel/Suspension question
I'm thinking of ordering 17"x7.5 5Zigen wheels w/ 205/40/17 tires, and a +43 offset. I want to know if there is going to be any harmful amount of rubbing with this combo (my car is lowered 1.8" F and 1.5"R). Does anybody run this wheel size? Thanks. Btw: its a 00 Civic Si.

Re: Wheel/Suspension question (tampaSi)
Well, you're not insanely low, but you'll definitely get some rubbing...more than the typical "during fully clocked u-turns" and "during a fast turn with a bump in the road". You'll probably rub on normal bumps if you hit it fast enough. Everyone I've seen and known with 7.5" wheels rubbed. I wouldn't recommend 7.5" wheels for civics...lots of people do it, but they deal with more rubbing than I do with my 17x7's...and mine's looks just as nice. You could try rolling your fenders after you get the wheels. It'll help a lil bit, but you'll still rub.

Ditto. I know 17X7 may be hard to find, especially the pattern that you like. But to be safe in more conditions, go with only 17X7. Plus I think it looks better than the 7.5s. just because it's more tucked in.

Alot of it depends on your struts too.. My 17's rubbed until I put my koni's and skunk coilovers on then I never a problem at all and I sat alot lower afterwards.
