i have a 93 EG and it has a 6 in. wide tint built into the glass of the windshield. is that ffound on most EGs or was mine replaced with a cheapy? just curious.

yeah it dont look too bad... i think it was replaced down the line. will it turn purple like stick on tint will ? or is the tint thats built in coll with discoloring??

my old car cracked and was replaced.. its cheap aftermarket... i did not mind it though... shades from the sun

yeah..dont think thats oem.....my car came w/ some ghey purple tint. The previous owner payed $225 to have professionals put this ghey 80's purple tint all around the car! gonna wait until it bubbles or whatever until i get decent looking tint

mine doesnt have tint, i wish it did though... keeps the sun out of your eyes.

Its not like a tint that he is talking about. Its the sun blocker thing
at the very top of your windshield. I have it on my original cx
windshield.

Yopur windshiels isnt oem, it doenst crakc or anythign because its more like stained on there not like regular window tint. New years party+drunk friends=new winshield.

just for everyone's info... I believe that 3m tints don't purple over time and if they do they'll replace it for free.

Also if your near a "tint-king" they will re-do the tint if it purples.

just for general info, the reason most tint film purples is from using cleaners that contain ammonia. that may not be the ONLY reason, but it is the most common.

I had mine replaced awhile back, the tint strip is considered an "upgrade" in the windshield world. BTW, mine has never leaked, etc, good PPG replacement, just over $200.

mine has that same stripe as does a couple of my friends EG's.

my coupe has it and i like my tint alot it really blocks the sun.
