whats up with my fast idle
I recently swaped a B-16 A2 into a '92 hatch, every so often after its warmed up, its starts to idle wierd. The revs go up to 2,000 and drop back down. Ive been told its the idle air control valve, and also the map sensor. Any other Ideas???

You can't adjust the IACV.
He was saying adjust your idle.

Check your coolant level, any coolant leak!! make sure you check the lower portion of the radiator and the lower rad. hose!!

Does it go up to ~2000 then back down to a normal idle in quick succession, a la vaccum leak? Check vaccum hoses, TB gasket, etc etc (all the usual suspects)

I got the same probl;em with my car accept it dies out soemtimes . . . I was told:
Vacuum Leak
IACV
Fast Idle Valve
you can also use carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks and when your idle surges that would be the spot . . . I need to check all of these things becuase having my car idle like craps makes me dissapointed
