Default Whats this side of the car called (The black strip on the door of a honda civic 96 dx)

I googled this image:
http://img162.imageshack.us/my...m.jpg
I also have a honda civic 96 dx
and its red, and has that black line on the door

what is that called and how do i make it red or take it off
im wondering wat its called so i can buy the red part of it so that when i get vinyl graphics they look good.

That mysterious black strip would be your side molding

How do you expect to make it red? Stare at it long enough and use your Jedi mind tricks to make it think its red in which case it will be red?

Its called Paint

If you take it off you will have a huge hole in your door, so either you fill it in with bondo for the smooth look, or have it look like crap.

Good Luck with those sweet graphics man

To the smart guy with the fast mouth, you DO NOT just fill the side in with bondo! Take some time and remove the "side moldings", cut some strips of sheet metal, test fit FIRST! Then, if youre going for the "shaved" look, strip down the door, mig or tig weld the metal strips in place of the moldings. NOW, you use skim coat (Thin Ice Spot Putty works best), sand, primer, paint, and buff/detail.

Instead of flamming this guy, help em out, stop being an asshair! He's trying to learn ...

I just gave him his general options, and compared to what most people on this forum would of said/are saying, I think I was quite nice.

But seeing your signature, I feel as if I should reply to you with a celebrity jeopardy quote

I was by no means being an *** - just trying to inform the guy of what to do... and one more thing before you reply with another idiotic retort - fighting online is like running the special olympics, you might win, but youre still a ****** retard!

It's called a side molding, use the bright red button in the top left corner called "<FONT COLOR="RED">SEARCH</FONT>" and you should find out anything else you need to know

whoa buddy, take the boxing gloves off. I wasn't trying to start a fight, I actually intended to inject humor into the situatuon by adding a quote from one of the best snl skits ever, and furthermore find some commmon ground since you had that quote in your sig.

Man you need to stfu with that qoute or sig. of yours. Do you know what its like to have a loved one who is mentally or psyhically challenged? If you were put into that situation, we'll see how you would like it if everyone called you a retard or any of your family members.
