Default Whats my problem here?

My car has been turning over really slow lately and i was driving down the street a couple days ago and it just shuts off and it wont start. It sounds really strange when i turn it over too so all things point to the starter, but why would the car shut off when its already started? i put my stock cx dizzy on it and it made the same noise when i turned it over...what went bad on me?

motor is JDM D15 with 98 EX trans- TIA

the starter silinoid, [?sp] if its going bad, it wont retract it self when you let crank and start the car

i cant describe the sound it makes, battery is brand new, i just want to know if its possible for the car to shut off because of a bad starter because it sounds retarded when i crank it and its been getting worse over the last couple weeks until now

alternator belt could be loose maybe or the alternator is just shot all together. When you are driving your alternator is providing the power to your accesories. maybe nothing is charging? i can't explain the weird noise though, my car sounded fucked up when my starter itself was loose. make sure you have ALL THE BOLTS, even the ones that hold on the brackets and ****
