I wouldn't go less than 195/50
Otherwise, you'll loose acceleration and speed, as well as your speedo will be off.

Re: Whats The Lowest Profile Tire on 15" Rim??? (R@m!r0M)
toyo makes a 215-45-15 t1-S
thats the lest profile sidewall, and fattest contact patch you can probly get.
performance wise, that should be the best you can get.
note: you gain accelleration with a smaller size diameter wheel/tire
(its called gearing boyo's).
you do lose top end speed though
and any 15" tire is going to have enough sidewall to handle well.
you dont run into problems with that until you try 40series on 16's,
or practically anything on 17's.
assuming this is on something like a civic of course.

yeah, basically, the 205's are gonna grip better than 195's,
but 195's look nicer
if you've got a crazy dumped car, 15" 195's can look really really nice.

well considering the fact hes looking for the lowest profile he could get
195-55-15's might not fit the bill...
especially considering they're the highest profile.. and he wants the lowest

Re: Whats The Lowest Profile Tire on 15" Rim??? (Tad)
I've seen 195/45/15's wrapped around the stock Si wheels on a 99-00 Si coupe. Clean, no wing...just dumped...it looked awesome.
Again, a 195/45/15 tire will give you better acceleration, at the expense of top speed..., your ride will be a LITTLE rougher than with a 50 series tire, and yes, your speedo might be a little off, and you'll probably rack up the odometer quicker than you would with a higher profile (because of the increased wheel revolutions - according to Toyo T1-S, 946 revolutions per mile with a 45 series versus 914 revolutions per mile with a 50 series), but even with all that said...it looks sweet...
I wish I had a pic to post up...

The problem with that tire is the max load capasity is only 937lbs!!!

Re: Whats The Lowest Profile Tire on 15" Rim??? (Spade)
the first number is the width of the tire... it has nothing to do with the height of it... .. on a 15inch rim never go below a 50... 205/50 is the best size ... some eagle gt-hr's .. they are awesome..

The first number has everything to do with the height of the tire, because the second number gives the sidewall height as a percentage of tread width.
A 205/50 has a taller sidewall than a 195/50.
