Between a 98-01 2 door GSR or (newer) 98+ Base Prelude
I know it has a lot of different variables that make it different amounts, but can someone give me a GENERAL idea of which is usually higher. BTW, i will be around 21-22 at the time if I get either. And I have 2 points on my license now. Im paying 1200 a year now on my 99 Ex coupe under my parents and I live in good ol' NJ.

Im lookin to get a different car in a year or 2. I just finished payin off my ex and i am gonna live with it for this time to save up some money.

what i did when i was searching for insurance is go to progressive.com and fill out he questions based on how they will be when you get the car.. age location, points, etc and see what they say.. you also gotta think that insurance rates might change in a few years if that is when you plan on getting the lude or gsr

From what I have encountered , Acuras usually run higher on the insurance end of the scale then Hondas . This is mainly caused by the fact that Acura parts usually run higher then Honda parts . But then you also have to account for which vehicle is usually more popular also . If there are more Acuras on the roads . and younger people are driving them , then the Acura will be more expensive . Insurance companies bite the big one .

i wouldnt be surprised that ur insurance on prelude would be much more than the civic s right now..i just pick d up a 00 eclipse GT and its insurance is only 30 more a year than the 98 civic i had befor..it has alot to do with which car has the most dollar loss s in the past.. insurance
