What Year Is My Bumper?
I purchased the civic pictured below and am wanting to add foglights but am unsure as to what year the bumper actually is. I was told by the previous owner that it came from another civic and he said he wasn't sure of the year. My civic is a 98' and I have noticed that most 98's that I have seen elsewhere have no place for foglights, where mine looks as if they could be added, so im thinking maybe 99' or so. please help a newbie to the import world and tell me what year the bumper is!
Thanks.
Thanks.

By the way those body gaps look, I'm sure the previous owner had a little fender bender and slapped a front end off of a newer car on there. It should fit a lot better than that.

Re: (bmoua)
my fogs are replicas....
ebay DEPO foglights sprayed with GLASS STAIN spray bought from MICHEALS or any other arts and crafts store...
fitment looks good to me...
also just so you know, you car is a 98, but thats not JUST a 99 bumper that the previous owner added on. The whole front is a 99. Hood, fender, lights, bumper, and grill. It's not just a 99 bumper, it's a whole 99 front end conversion.

The previous owner said he hit a curb, thats why it fits like crap. I took it off, and its held on by random things like screws bolts and zipties! I have tried with no luck to get it to fit better and it is scraped up and has tons of chips and chunks taken out of it so i am thinking of buying a new 99-00 bumber from ebay or somthing.

Well after stripping the paint off the bumper I realized it was more trashed than I originaly thought so it isn't worth re-painting so I just ordered a new one! and some new fog lights that cost twice as much as the damn bumper! lol. Oh well.

Sorry man, but I'm pretty sure he lied to you. I've hit a curb. A couple, even. My front end looks the same as the day I bought it (okay, few scratches here 'n there, but the gaps are the same).
He probably hit something big enough to need to replace the front end. He probably found a 99-00 in the junkyard and scavenged the parts from it, then did a quick 'n dirty install (hence zip ties, etc.) to cover up the accident.
Hopefully you don't go through tires due to a misaligned frame.

Re: (MonkeyBoy668)
Well I pulled the front of the car back off and everything looks fine as far as I can tell...
So I think once I get the new bumper, it should look good as new!

Are there Honda VIN stickers on all the parts that are on the front end? The hood, the fenders, the bumper, the core support? If the core support doesn't have a VIN or a matching one, then there is a good chance the car has been wrecked.
