What year did OBD change I -> II
In what year did the civic's computer's change from the OBD1 to the OBD2. I bought a head for my LSVTEC build, and I didn't think the head would matter OBD1 or 2...with the exception of the dizzy.
Any light shined would be greatly appreciated...

Re: What year did OBD change I -> II (CH2iS*)
Hmm...how can I tell which my head is? It came with no cams, and no dizzy. And will an OBD2 head work with my OBD1 build? Like which parts are affected...?

if it's a bare head, then yes it's work. just add all obd1 stuff.

What all would that include? Can I use the VTEC solenoid that came with it? All it was is the valves, two oil rails that go over the cams, the head, valve cover, and the vtec solenoid...
Also, is there a stamp on it they may help me to identify?

Re: What year did OBD change I -> II (rukawa1one)
I know it's from a civic...
but would it matter if it was A/B from OBD2?
And what all needs to be swapped to make the head a 1 if it IS a 2?
And finally, how can I identify what the head is? 1 or 2?

Going down to check on the year if I can find it in the circle thing? I'll see what i can find. Thanks Skoundrel...somehow I overlooked your post, there.
What do I need to convert to OBD2 -> 1 if indeed I need to do that?

But I looked up the USDM 90 si head,a nd it looks nothing like this...it's still SOHC back then...and I'm almost positive this isn't imported.

Snap, on that theory, I've got a 96 teggy engine on my hands. That's obd 2 isn't it? Will the OBD2 block work with an OBD0 head/chassis? I've heard it's much better to run the OBD1 setup...
Damnit, this changes everything...
