What Would you pay for my Em1?
Hi guys, im looking into getting a newer civic or si to commute with , that being said , how much would you say my em1 is worth? im just looking for the ballpark of what people would pay for it...
2000 Civic Si FBP.
85,xxx ORIGINAL Miles.
pretty much stock, has AEM short ram intake, B&M short throw shifter, muffler tip, Skunk 2 Shift ****. OEM fog lights
Timing Belt / Water pump done at 73k miles.
VERY CLEAN! washed every other day and waxed once a week in the summer.
garage kept the majority of the time in the winter
a few small dings and scratches, nothing bad at all, any scratches fade with wax.
interior is pretty much flawless.
comes with blue slipstreams and possibly winter ep3 si rims with snow tires...

If it's in perfect running condition as you say, and the interior///exterior is also good. You could throw a good 6-7.5k as the listing price, or buying price. I got mine with the exact same amount of mileage, perfect condition, for 7,600.

Yeah man, it's a perfect price for it. I wouldn't go any lower if I were you. And I must add, you don't find too many civic's of this year with that mileage and condition.

Why they hell do you go on here wondering what you should sell it for if you would only take a certain price for it jackass? Don't waste good forum space with your useless threads.

I'd pay $5500 tops. You have a econobox, it's not fast, it's not special. It's also a thief magnet.
Seriously, why would you ask this question and flame people who don't agree with the price you had in mind? Pointless thread is pointless

Re: What Would you pay for my Em1?
A lot of people in this thread are stupid. Are you guys insane? Stock EM1s are hard to come by and desirable for the fact that they are VIRGINS. Nothing has been done to em, they are yours to do as you wish, and this is the case with this guy's car. Not only has it been babied, garage kept, and is in great condition - it's also an EM1 which is RARE.
As a benchmark, I paid $4850 for mine with 122k miles and front damage that will cost approx $1k to fix, I still think it was a great deal and was told by MANY MANY people that it was an awesome pick up (I made a thread). Why? Bone stock. Never touched, garage kept, great condition, and a FBP EM1.
I think you can get $6.8-8k, depending on how long you wanna wait. Awesome car, btw, I wouldn't sell it.

Re: What Would you pay for my Em1?
why do you guys have to be so freakin' rude to everyone? do you all go around acting like this in real life to complete strangers?
anyway, OP, this isn't tech but i think this is a legitmate inquiry. i'd say 7500 or so is fair. If i could get at it to correct the finish, and get a good dent guy on it, you could possibly get 8k if you had some patience. let's face it- they are not that easy to come by without a billion miles, not rigged and/or with a clean title.
christ you guys need to chill out.

I Totally agree. So, maybe we're not so crazy for thinking that the car is worth what we thought.
But I definately have to agree with victor 100%

In case the op is interested, up here in Canada (ontario at least) EM1's in that same condition with approx 110,000 to 130,000 kms go for about 9,000$ in cdn funds.

I would think you could get 8 for it with some patience... However I wouldn't go anywhere near that thing with those blue rims...

Re: What Would you pay for my Em1?
haha yeah, they look better in person.
i may just end up keeping the car to commute with, not sure yet, it feels like a crime putting mileage on this thing when its in such good shape :[
