What would you do if your atf plug looked like this?

What would you do if your atf plug looked like this?
So I changed my atf got the first time since buying my 6th gen ex. There was heavy accumulation of metallic debris on the plug (see pics for before and after). What would you do in reaction to this? Full flush? More frequent changes? I'm thinking about changing it every 5000 miles for the next two servicings.

It`s kinda hard to picture without pics lol. But, normally if see any metallic stuff in any fluid, it`s notmally a BAD thing..correct me if I`m wrong.

It is normal to have a small amount of metal on your plug from the clutch packs in the tranny wearing. Not big chunks of silver metal mind you, but fine black powdery dustlike material. Wipe it off and reinstall the plug. That's why its magnetic.
If there are bearing and gear chunks on there I'd be concerned, but by then you'd probably notice your transmission performing incorrectly.
We'd like to see pics though...

As stated, small metal flakes are normal. It looks fine to me. And trans fluid does not require replacment every 5k miles.

The small metal filings are probably ok. Are those metal chunks on the rag or just air bubbles? Anything chunky would warrant another change and inspection soon. Maybe even a savings account for a new tranny.

No chunks...just LOTS of filings. If it's normal, then I guess I can just go back to changing 3 quarts every 10000 miles?

its normal. that magnet is on that plug for a reason. to keep those metal filings OUT.
just fill er up, put the plug back in and drive.
edit....or put the plug back in, then fill it up.

Fill er up...put plug back in...make superbowl-esque dive to get drain pan under brand new fluid draining fron tranny...got it. I'm surprised at how much filings come out of this thing...still learning the in's and out's of the Hondas. Thanks for the help.
I'm assuming most of you do 3 quarts at a time changes on these. How often do you do them? Every 10k?
