What went wrong? Axle or Brakes?
Loud clicking and banging sound from the drivers side. Only does it when moving, wether I'm in gear or not. If I apply the brakes it stops...Also, it seems to pop when I'm almost at a complete stop, or just started rolling from a stop. Is it an axle or something with the brakes?
My guess is axle...just want some more input from you guys.
BTW, Car is a 96 civic EX, b18b w/ GSR tranny.

Weird that it would stop if the brakes are applied... I'm going to say brakes, and suggest you check every bolt on your front end for tightness.

Same kind of thing happened to me. When I would brake, it'd go away. For me, it was because my tire on the driver side wasn't tight enough.
Maybe something simple like that could be it? If not, my guess is the axle.
