Helms manual says the 93 Ex 5 speed coupe weighs in at 3490lbs. I'm going to assume that that is with 1 airbag and without rear disc.

with some serious weight reduction you could get it down to 2300 lbs daily(full interior) and as low as 2200 for racing. Congrats on getting a coupe

New exhaust...header. piping, muffler. lots of weight loss there.
Yank the a/c
Light weight rims huge weight savings
Carbon fiber hood
Its a start

You only need one seat at the track, anyhow, and little use for the spare tire & jack at the track too. The sound insulation in the trunk & under the carpet doesn't really weigh that much, but hey?, every little bit helps right?
You can scrape up the tar on the floorboard and under the seats, again, don't weigh that much, but serves no useful purpose beyond sound deadening. Ditto with firewall liner. Yank the airbags FOR TRACK CAR ONLY!!, also bumper supports front & rear. If you're really hard core, gut the entire interior, plastic trim, carpet, & all, but I do like at least these much comforts in my own daily driver. Stereo and heavy head unit not really a necessity. Neither is power steering, so you could remove the power steering pump & resivour (sp?) and loop the line ala' Realtime Racing ITRs. Keep gas tank below 1/4 at the track. CF hood, other body panels would save some weight. Ditch sunroof, it's heavy as **** and having weight high up above the CG kills handling too. (although I like mine just the same ). Ummm, take a good healthy **** before you run . That's about all I can think of.....
