what tires should I get?????
I cant stand these Michelin xgt v4's they are crap (especially in the rain) I want to know what everyone recommends as a good handeling and performance tire. I will only be driving in the summer so snow is not a factor.......just for the record I still have my stock Si (SiR) rims and H&R sports springs, 1.75" drop.
Thanks in advance.

Falken Azenis, cheap as the kumho's but has better grip.
Do a search in the ITR forum for more info about these tires.
I really like mine.

I know when it comes time for me to get new rubber, I'm going with kumho. I've heard too many good things. Unless someone else comes out with an inexpensive one with good quality.

STOCK????
stock are the michelin v4's....they are $hit in the rain. I hate the stock rubber on the 99-00 si's. thats why I'm on the hunt for new rubber.

Dunlop SP9000's. They are heavily regarded as one of THE quietest tires available anywhere right now. I can vouch for that claim being I have them. I'm running them in a 205/45 16 size. More importantly than the noise is their wet handling. It is absolutly great! I had Nitto NT 450's before this which I felt were horrible in rain....they hydroplaned very easily. The Dunlops are not cheap but are an excellent high performance tire. Just for reference they were and still may be the standard issue on "7" series BMW's. Take a look at the Tire Rack http://www.tirerack.com. They have a ton of independent reviews from cutomers who have bought tires and a graph-like rating scale developed from these reponses.

normal, I haven't heard of the assymetrical
They are on http://www.tires.com and yokohama's website.
You can get 204/45ZR-16's for $99.00 each.
Or you could pick up some DOT approved Yokohama A032R's:
Great for dragging.
Or how about some Yokohama AVS Sports?
