Default What sway bar are you using in a ek?

I wanted to buy a sway bar for my 98 4dr civic. I was thinking about a sk2 swaybar. Right now for suspension i have a sk2 front uppper bar and a lower tie bar.

SRK-EK
Developed with the same theory as the proven SRK-EG, Beaks Products' SRK-EK (subframe reinforcement kit) minimizes the chance of subframe "tear-out" often experienced with oversized anti-sway bar upgrades. Due to the thin construction of the subframe and insufficient factory reinforcements, the subframe sheet metal shears under extreme twisting of the anti-sway bar. The results are severe damage and expensive repairs. The SRK-EK reinforces the subframe from both inside and outside, distributing forces over a greater area of contact. This reduces the shear stress and effectively prevents sheet metal failures.

It says on the site that the SRK-EK only works for the 99-00 models i don't know if it will work on a 98.

I run the Progress rear anti-sway bar on my '97 EX sedan. Awesome quality and NO subframe rippage in two years. Check out my page for pics. Very cheap, too ... I paid like $200 out the door for mine. http://www.progressauto.com

.
thers my itr sway with beaks srk , this is on my 99 hatchie , i recomend this to anybody!!!!! you need subframe reinforcement on anything 19mm or over in my opinion , ive seen a gsr sway tear out on a 98 civic coupe. get the beaks kit , the full kit is cheaper than progress , better too , better than skunk , comptechs is awsome but expensive , and the endlinks are crap

I had the ST rear sway only. I used it on my 00 Civic for about 2 years, no issues at all, and when I removed it, no signs of damage or impending tear out. I was pretty happy with it. Only thing bad I can say, is that it did get rusty on me, I'm not sure how good the quality of finish/paint on the bars is.

I had a 26mm ctr/si front sway bar and a JDM ITR (23mm) rear bar.

One of the best mods ever, next to real coilovers.

Is the itr only 1 mm bigger than the sk2? And how much did you pay for your itr?

I have it on my car.. along with an SI front sway. No problems with tearing or anything.. installing is a bitch though! The bolts the kit comes with aren't tapered like the OEM Honda ones, so it'll be a lot of fumbling around until it's in.

I have a Comptech 22mm rear sway without the tie bar, but with Beaks kit. Works well.
