What size tires on new Rims?
Hey, I'm looking to put on some tires on some new Rota rims I got on my 2000 Civic. I got the 16x7 rims, and I want to put on some Sumitomo HTR+ 205/40/16 tires on these rims, but some technical guy I was talking to was telling me the 40's would be too small for my car, and that the 50's were too large, and I had to get the 45's (not offered for these tires). Does anyone know if this is right? I thought this was kinda sketch, especially since my car is dropped. Little help please? Thanks.

I agree go with the 205/45/16. It is the closest to overall diameter of your stock wheels/tires. There are a lot of tires available in that size and a lot better selection than Summitomo.

Thanks
Thanks for the opinions. The HTRs were $63 a piece for the 40's... =-/
What kinda tires would be better for all season purpose and performance? Anybody have an idea about what kinda tires I could find in the 205/45/16 size?
