SIR is a b16 engine which is called a sir in japan.
Its a 5 million series, engine.
Its has 10 more ponies than a b16, and a little more torque.

Hahahaha
Some of the replies here are so FOS!
Anyway, I know about 3 versions of the EG6 -- the SiR, SiR II and SiR-S. (These descriptions are only relevant for EG6s -- for EK4s, it's a different story.)
ALL THREE have the same engine, except the SiR II -- this has an option for an auto transmission so for this option you get a lower compression engine with 160PS only. SiR II also had options for sunroof, ABS and viscous LSD. It is basically the more luxurious version. The SiR does not have ABS or LSD or sunroof -- more for performance oriented customers who do not want to waste money on the other amenities.
SiR-S, I believe, was released as a 94 model (only from 94-95) and is an even more performance oriented version -- no sunroof, no ABS (same as before) but with LSD.
I believe those are the only differences. There is no damn difference between and SiR and SiRII engine! If anything, the SiRII engine is weaker if it's from an auto SiRII.

ABS optional
SiR (E-EG6)
B16A 10.4:1 CR DOHC VTEC
170 ps 5spd
ABS optional
VTi (E-EG4)
D15B 9.3:1 CR VTEC
130 ps 5spd or auto
ABS optional
LSD optional on 5spd
ETi (E-EG4)
D15B 9.3:1 CR VTEC-E
94 ps 5spd
ABS optional
basically equivalent to USDM VX
MX (E-EG3)
D15B 9.2:1 CR, dual carb
100 ps 5spd or auto
ABS optional

honda never lists their complete lineup on the HOT due to thier limited runs and later additons. if you notice...all model entries in the HOT are the original releases, no updates or revisions.

BUT the reason I suspected the EG6 SiR.S was a 94 release was because if it was released in 92, then it would have been included in the online Honda model matrix. Ofcourse did not appear, but that's the only justification I have. However, I don't know what the specific info on the SiR.S is -- what's the difference to a regular EG6?
('94 was the year the EG6 got a very minor interior facelift -- the cloth material and interior trim colour changed colour, and the seats were a newer design -- apparently OEM Honda made by Recaro.)
