If you're not breaking parts.... you're not going fast enough.

I would think your mounts are going to get trashed before long, a good set of mounts will help prevent a lot of other stuff from getting trashed as well.

with that much power don't most tracks require a roll cage?
or is that depending on the location.

if your Si is like mine, expect every little god damn piece of **** to break... it's just how it works, the little things are the ones that **** you off to, good luck, that power is fun.

Did you get limited slip put on the tranny? I wouldnt put an open diff. tranny on there with that much power just cuz you spent all that money and wont even utilize all of the power. What mods/internals are you running?

The motor mounts woun't hold for long at those power levels. traction bars or not. I would upgrade those. Otherwise be carefull about dumping the clutch and preloading and you should be pretty good.

Stock transmission? 500 horsepower? Don't be surprised if any of your gears, synchros, shafts, or bearings break.

Others might tell you a stock transmission is okay, perhaps cryo-treat the internals or upgrade the synchronizers. But understand that I'm an overkill kind of guy, so to be safe than sorry I would recommend a conversion to a dog ring transmission with straight cut gears. Also, I'm assuming that if you're like most people, your power will continue to increase.

your not gonna break a honda trans (if its in good condition to begin with) i know people with 300-500+ whp hondas and their trans dont break.... whipfactory uses factory trannys on all their cars cause their reliable.. the ek they got has a type r and nothings broken.. their old eg (my hatch) had a stock trans (3rd stg of boost at 650whp) and it never broke.. dont worry about your trans worry about your motor mounts... grab a set of avid either street/strip or race mounts (i went with race and im gonna be at 550+ on my 3rd stg of boost) you wont break those

He could probably get away with polyurethane mount inserts for the cheap.
Also, look into carbon coated syncros.

hasport mounts arent the best ride but your not going to be just driving a 500hp car around as a daily driver are you?
